An operator-led advisory firm, built around people who have done the work.

P2 is a Dublin-based advisory firm working with founders, leadership teams, investors and public bodies. Our model is deliberately operator-led: the people advising are the people who have built, scaled, funded and sold companies, and who are willing to stay close enough to the execution to be useful.

In practice that means small teams, senior attention, and a preference for decisions over documents. We work in short, defined engagements where the objective is clear, and we say plainly when a piece of work is not worth doing.

Team

Martin Scott

Martin is an experienced investor, board leader and adviser who works with founders and leadership teams on growth strategy, value creation, governance, capital planning and strategic transactions. He is Chair of Netwatch Group and a former Partner at The Riverside Company, where he led investments across Europe and worked closely with management teams on scaling, international expansion, organisational development, M&A and exit preparation. His investment experience spans software, industrial technology and data infrastructure businesses operating in complex and highly regulated markets. Earlier in his career, Martin was a senior partner at KPMG, where he led strategy and operations within Transaction Services, and worked at McKinsey & Company, advising clients on technology-led transformation. A Marie Curie Fellow, Martin holds a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Cambridge. Combining deep technical understanding with extensive investment and board experience, he advises founders on strengthening their operating foundations, preparing for institutional capital and navigating the strategic decisions required to build scalable and resilient businesses.

John Clark

John is a founder, operator and adviser who works with founders and leadership teams on growth strategy, international expansion, organisational development and capital readiness. He was part of the founding team behind an award-winning European Data and AI company serving enterprise clients and previously led the North American business of CAMMS (Riskonnect), an international governance, risk and compliance software platform. John also founded World Air Operations, building the government logistics business across Europe, the Gulf and Asia, and held a global commercial leadership role with Blackstone and APAX backed IBS, a core technology provider to the aviation, logistics and energy sectors. John leads Armuir, a security and resilience incubator and accelerator supporting founders as they develop, commercialise and scale technologies for complex and highly regulated markets, as well as a founding partner and head of origination at Fulcrum Capital. Having built and expanded businesses across APAC, EMEA and North America, he advises founders, early-stage funds and public investment organisations on strategy, go-to-market execution, international growth and the operating foundations required to scale.

Operating experience

P2's advice comes from people who have carried operating responsibility: building and scaling companies, running commercial and functional teams, opening new markets, and living with the consequences of the decisions they recommend. We work in the detail of the operating model rather than at the level of frameworks.

Investor perspective

We have prepared for capital, raised it, and assessed companies from the other side of the table. That perspective shapes how we test plans, models and narratives, and why we tend to be direct about what will and will not stand up to diligence.
